The shoulder is the most complex joint in the human body. Thanks to its structure, it combines maximum mobility with just the right amount of stability. However, this complex structure is prone to traumatic injuries and to wear. Shoulder surgery saw a revolutionary development in the 1990s with the introduction of innovative arthroscopic procedures. It became possible to observe and classify hitherto unknown injury models and to treat them using a minimally invasive technique.
